New Look Clean porcelain floor tile and grout cleaning in Lichfield.
We cleaned and sealed the floor tiles and grout in this kitchen area in Lichfield…
With this floor we firstly started by testing the tiles as they had the appearance of limestone but appeared to be non porous. Ensuring we identify the type of tile/stone is paramount to ensure they are cleaned correctly. The testing confirmed they were porcelain and were a very good quality man made tile made to replicate a natural stone floor. Even the grout lines had been installed with wide gaps as in natural floors.
Now we had established the floor tile construction, we firstly vacuumed the whole area to remove the dry soiling.
Next we applied the right cleaning solution and allowed it to dwell to start breaking the dirt’s bond with the floor.
We then scrubbed the whole floor with a weighted rotary machine and the appropriate floor pads. This agitates the cleaning chemical and removes it from the floor. Then the grout was scrubbed with a grout brush to loosen all the soils and grease from the grout lines.
The slurry was then removed from the porcelain tiles and the floor was extracted and rinsed with water to remove any remaining dirt and ensure the floor is left neutral.
Air movers were then used to help dry the porcelain tiles and grout quickly.
We then applied a sealer to the grout to help protect it from dirt in the future.
