This afternoon we were cleaning a lounge and dining room carpet.
The carpet was made from wool and during the lockdown the customer had spilt red wine onto the carpet.
They had tried the usual suggestions from the internet – pour on white wine, soda water, salt and carpet cleaners from the shop! Did they work? – well the before images below show you NO, they don’t work!
We cleaned the whole area as normal to firstly rinse out all those contaminants from the carpet – they’ll just cause re-soiling in that area and attract more dirt.
We then used advanced spotting techniques to reduce the stain – as you can see it’s now completely gone.
We simply charged the client for the normal clean of a lounge carpet, we don’t charge extra for removing spots and stains – just how it should be!
